This online manufacturing management program is intended for those who have, or are close to completing, their Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in mechatronics or a related field. After you review the admission requirements below, you can pick a start date and begin your application today. No entrance exams are required.

Degree and Minimum GPAApplicants must have an accredited associate degree in automated manufacturing technology, industrial electronics technology, mechatronics or a mechatronics-related field. There is no minimum GPA requirement.
TranscriptsSubmit official transcripts for the previously earned associate degree.
Transfer CreditsUp to 90 hours of transfer credit can be applied toward the bachelor’s degree; however, students must complete at least 30 credit hours at USC Upstate to graduate.

International Students

All international students must demonstrate English language proficiency for admission. If you do not meet the English proficiency requirement, you may be admitted conditionally.

  • Submit official school records (transcripts, diplomas or certificates of study) translated to English

*Students must hold an Associate of Applied Science in mechatronics or a related subject to apply. The previously earned AAS degree will contribute 60 credit hours of transfer credit toward this program. The student must complete the remaining 60 credit hours with USC Upstate.


**Waivers available for current South Carolina high school students with SAT ≥ 1300 or ACT ≥ 29 or those with official fee-waiver documentation; students transferring from South Carolina technical or community colleges with an earned associate degree; USC Upstate faculty or staff and their spouses or dependents; and ROTC staff, USC Upstate Scholars Academy, dual enrollment students.
